Thanking God for His Mercies

By Nick Bibile

Genesis 8:20

Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

The FIRST THING which Noah did was not to build a house for himself BUT to thank God for his mercy, saving his and his family life.

He built an altar to the Lord. The Bible tells us to prefer God and have priority for God more than anything else.

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Matthew 22:37

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Psalm 27:4

One thing have I asked of the LORD,

        that will I seek after:

that I may dwell in the house of the LORD

all the days of my life,

to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD

and to inquire in his temple.

When God answers prayers and shows his mercy, many times even Christians fail to thank God. God may not accept delayed thankfulness.

Heavens that brought judgment now we see heavens receive a sweet perfume of holy obedience.

Beloved never ever forget thanking God especially for salvation and all the other answered prayers.
